OS introduced their Pet .099 engine around 1957. Trying to date Japanese engines is hard so I will esimate the years of release for subsequent models.
The first Pet I have called the Mk-1 because its construction is different from later Pets. The Mk-1 had a pipe style cylinder which was held in place by a one piece natural aluminum Muff that included the head and cylinder fins. The muff was secured with two long screws into the case.
